SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:

Selene takes Diabolos to search for Athena. Natsu tells them Fairy Tail will find Viernes and Ignia. Fairy Tail is left with an open invitation to visit Diabolos at anytime. Elefseria and Selene have their farewell. Afterward, Team Natsu inform him that they are returning home to investigate.

At the Fairy Tail guild HQ, the usual festivities erupt when Team Natsu return. Erza speaks to the Fairy Tail Master, but is horrified to learn that thanks to repeated destruction of their HA, the guild no longer has most of the ancient books needed to do their research.

Lucy returns to her home, which her landlady has kept clean for her. When she opens the door, she finds several members of Saber Tooth guild waiting for her.

Thoughts/Review:

The thing about a chapter like Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 123 is that it basically retreads a ton of old jokes ’cause “Fairy Tail.” As such there’s the typical party and cameos. Juvia greets “Gray-sama”. Laxus reunites with his faction. Levy scolds Gajeel. Natsu tells a tale.

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 123

Of course, no return home would be complete without Lucy walking dangerously on the river walk, followed by entering her apartment, only to find it full of guests. I didn’t expect Saber Tooth though. But what is a little plot convenience for members of their guild to be waiting for Lucy when Saber Tooth also has the ancient books needed to do research.

So I guess next chapter is going to Saber Tooth…unless Saber Tooth has a reason to visit. I suppose they could go, “We need help with X. If you help us, you can look at our books.” We’ll see.

Finally, I suppose we’ll see Diabolos again after a while when they’ve found Athena. But yeah, they are official Fairy Tail allies now.

Final Thoughts and Conclusion

In the end, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 123 is a standard, homecoming story to give a break until the next one.
